Red Bull Crashed Ice qualifier in Calgary

People in this world do a whole lot of crazy things that scare the crap out of me. There’s the squirrel suit psychos. There’s the slacklining nuts. And then there’s the Crashed Ice crazies.

What kind of people think it’s a great idea to skate down a wild, jump-laden, downhill track of ice? I’m not really sure of the answer to that. Though I bet they’re a hoot to party with. Here’s the question: are you one of those people who are brave enough to go for the glory?

Red Bull Crashed Ice will be holding qualifiers here in Calgary on October 27 at Canada Olympic Park. But heads up, thrill seekers… you MUST be registered before September 30 in order to have a chance to take part. Only 200 men and 20 women (read: men are, by a factor of 10, crazier than women… who knew?) will be chosen to compete at the qualifier for a shot at going on to the main event on December 1 at Niagara Falls (please let them be jumping over the falls please let them be jumping over the falls).

Register online now for your shot at the qualifier. Remember, you only have a few days before registration closes. If you’ve got your heart set on being there, do it now.
