2012 Edmonton Wordcamp

The 2012 Edmonton Wordcamp is scheduled and tickets are now available. Running on November 16 and 17, it looks to be another superb event from the organizers.

WordpressLogoWordcamp is a conference dedicated to WordPress. They occur in cities around the world, and are great opportunities to learn more about the software that runs one out of every six websites. I attended the 2011 Edmonton Wordcamp, and while I think I was the lone Calgarian, people couldn’t have been nicer. There were fantastic presentations on typography, custom taxonomies, search engine optimization, and improving content. Speakers at Wordcamp were exceptional. The afterparties were also an excellent time.

The 2012 sessions are just being developed and listed now, but the schedule promises to be just as engaging. With a ticket price of just $40, this is a tremendous value. As of this writing, there are 77 tickets remaining. It sold out in 2011, so you’ll want to get your ticket if you have anything to do with WordPress. Obviously, you can get lots more information and buy your tickets online at the 2012 Edmonton Wordcamp website.

  • Thanks for the shout out for WordCamp Edmonton, I am hoping there are more Calgary crew that come up for it, so we can continue to build the Alberta community. I am sure there are many talented WordPress designers, developers and creators down south!
